How to create a custom color background (this tutorial is designed for people who shouldn't be left
unsupervised with a mouse).
Right click (that is... click the right mouse button... the button you never use... no... the RIGHT ONE... YOUR OTHER RIGHT!!) anywhere on your desktop where there isn't an icon (and not on the start bar either... why is this such a hard concept for some people?). Ok... now that you've done that, click "Properties" from the little popup menu that appeared. You'll get a window that shows all your desktop and video settings. Click the "Desktop" tab at the top of the window that appeared to get the following screen (well... mine is Windows XP, if you're Windows 95, 98 it may appear slightly different. If you're using Windows ME... go find the person who sold it to you and bitch slap them repeatedly for pawning that crap upon you... then either upgrade to XP or downgrade to 98).
Ok... just fill in the numbers like the appear on the lower right hand side... both columns. Make sure you click "Add to custom colors" and the while square changes to the color you want, then click OK on each screen to get back out. Your screen should now be the exact blue that is specified. If it's not, then you did something wrong. Please don't email me for additional help on this. If you can't follow the above instructions, I can't help you (no one can). |
