What the hell did you say yesterday?

With the upcoming lan party this Saturday, I thought it might be best for those attending to be
prepared.
Rather than waiting 20 minutes, pulling down files from the server at the lan, why not get the
files now? (now is good... later is bad!!!)
With that in mind, I have all the update packs available for download here:

Get 'em while they're hot! (or be lame and wait 20 minutes while the rest of us are playing!)

My wife got her motorcycle endorsement this week.
After spending the weekend attending the motorcycle safety course, her confidence was high,
and she was ready to go. She has decided long ago that she was going to take my motorcycle,
and I would purchase the monster of my dreams... something big, nasty, and loud.
On Tuesday, after she got her license and I added her to the insurance, she geared up in
$500 worth of leather that I had purchased her and proceeded to hop on my motorcycle to
see how she liked it.
<Insert mass vs. inertia ratios here>
She wasn't quite ready for the weight of my bike. The motorcycles they train you on are
little 125cc units... I have a 750cc cruiser (about 525lbs or 195.96kg). Cornering was her
nemesis.
When attempting to do a u-turn on our street, she ran into an issue that resulted in her being
fine, but my bike laying on it's right side in the neighbor's driveway (again, she was fine, and the
bike didn't take any damage).
So... we decided that she needs two things before she can take my bike: Experience and Confidence.
Yesterday, we purchased an '85 Kawasaki 454 LTD (hereafter known as the "disposa-bike")
The Kawasaki 454 LTD - 450cc's of funky 80's style love!
She can to ride this one just fine, and with time and practice, she'll be able to graduate to my bike.
Then I can get the bike that fills my dreams...

I archived the last month or so of the crap I call "content" (to keep this useless
page from growing too large). You can find previous bouts of my mental diarrhea
on the left in the "archive" section.
In other news... apparently I won't be buying my wife a motorcycle after all. She
has decided that she would like to keep my bike, and that I should go and find something
bigger for myself.
<insert happy dance here>

Some things are just too funny to pass up.
The Inlander, a local paper, runs "I saw you" adds in the personals. The idea is that when
you see someone you find attractive, but miss the opportunity to talk to them, you can post
an add, and if they read it, they might reply (and monkeys might fly out of my ass too!).
