What the hell did you say yesterday?

Oh hell ya!

I think it's official... I'm in love with my new toy!

It may not seem very big with me standing behind it, but you have to remember.. I'm a big guy. The bike itself is over 8.5 feet long and weighs something like 720 lbs (dry).

Here's the other side. I put the studs into the saddle bags myself last night. I'm glad as hell I don't do that for a living.

Well, it's done.

I am now the proud owner of a big bad black bike. Oh yes my friends, she shakes the pavement and strikes fear into the hearts of little old ladies with glaucoma who drive '78 Ford LTD 4 doors with nothing exposed but the top of their knuckles on the steering wheel.

We've got power, we've got style, we've got a big ass monthly payment!

I'll take a couple shots with the digital camera this weekend and post them when I get a few minutes.

Life is sweet!

After a great struggle, I think the purchase of the new motorcycle is complete.

The bank had issues, the dealer didn't know what the taxes would be (he's in Idaho, and I live in Washington), and the insurance company was staffed by idiots.

I'm pretty sure that after working on it for 4 hours yesterday, everything is in order now. I'm waiting on the paperwork to arrive (they mailed it to me so I wouldn't have to go to the bank), and should be taking possession of my new toy tomorrow or the next day.

I'll update as things happen (not that any of you actually care).

I'm stuck at home with a couple of sick kids today.

But it's all good!

Today is the big day... the day I get to make a small purchase.

I've been talking about it for a couple of months, and I'm actually going to take the plunge and commit myself to a new $12,000 toy... a Royal Star Boulevard.

ooooohhh..... pretty!!!
1,300 cc's of water cooled, shaft driven, 4 cylender love!

I'm getting all the bank work started on it today, and will be picking it up later this week, more to follow on that later.

Oh yeah... and I archived off all the old crap again, so if you want to see what was up earlier, click the "archive" link on the left.

Damn... it's early!

I had to get up at 4:00 am today to drive my wife to the airport.

She is off to Seattle for a few days on a business trip. I wish I could go along. But instead I'm home watching the blood sucking vermine that I call my children.

They came down with something nasty on Friday. We, of course, took them to the Doctor, but since it's something viral that they came down with, there's not much we can do but tough it out.

So... instead of going to my friends (Dan and Kimberly) wedding... I was stuck watching the grumpy little fever factorys.

Not that the whole day was a wash... I did get one thing done:

We put together the 1,300 piece lego set that I had picked up last week: a Harley Davidson Road King.

It took about 4 solid hours to build (because I kept screwing it up and would have to tear huge sections apart and start over... it's been a long time since I've done anything with legos).

The finished product is huge (as you can see), and it came out pretty cool. Of course, now that I've built it... I have no idea WTF to do with it.
