I can be stoic all I like, but the simple fact remains:
Drugs > Me.
I thought I could pull this off, but that seems pretty stupid now. I called my neurosurgeon. Apparently, my wife had called just a few minutes earlier. The withdrawl is beyond nasty… I haven’t slept in days, can’t eat, bad shakes, feel like poop.
So… I’m back on the drugs and doing the whole “gradual reduction” gig. It’s not what I want, but it beats the hell out of where I am.

Apparently my physicians have decided that it’s time for me to clean up.
I’ve been on a lot of pain pills for the past couple years… some serious ones for the last 9 months.
Effective today, I go from 120mg/day of morphine sulfate to 0.
I don’t feel so good at the moment… may not post agagin for a bit. Pry gonna sleep a lot.
Joy!

Sorry about the lack of updates the past few days.
I could give you a thousand reasons on why I haven’t been more active with the site, but it all boils down to one thing: I feel like shit.
Granted, it’s a different feeling than I had prior to the surgery, and the pain I had before seems to be gone (Yay!!), but the healing process is gonna take a while.
I have learned a few things during my downtime though. My wife (who is wonderful beyond words) can be easily irritated with my “jokes”. Here’s a list of things that I’m no longer allowed to do:
During a sponge bath:
While she’s washing my back-side, don’t fart.
When she’s washing my side, don’t reach around her, pat her on the butt, and loudly say “SMACK THAT ASS!!”
While she’s trimming my toenails:
Never scream in agony when she’s trimming my pinky toes (that really pissed her off because she was afraid of hurting me while she was doing it!).
I’ve been filling my days with movies and reading the web. I do actually hae quite a few projects to get done, but I’m finding it difficult to be motivated (sorry Wade.. I haven’t gotten to your website yet).
I did, however, order a new computer for my youngest son’s birthday. It’s not the most powerful thing on the planet, but it’s a lot better than what he has now. Of course, I did the order through newegg.com. I placed my order on tuesday and had all the parts by friday of the same week. If you’re looking to buy any computer parts… I strongly suggest you check them out (they rock!!).
I’ll post specs and perhaps a pic of his machine later. It’s pretty cool looking… a funky case with lots of lights (the “eyes” turn red when there’s hard drive activity).

I’m bored.
Every day is pretty much like the day before, so I’ve got a lot of free time on my hands. So… I’m looking for pretty much ANYTHING to do.
Today’s project: make wallpaper for anyone who’s interested.
So here you go.. wallpaper ala WWBD! All you need to do is click the link for the size you’d like, then “right-click”, “set as background” (if you’re using IE).

Download 640×480
Download 800×600
Download 1024×768
Spiffy!
