How the hell are ya?
I’ve forgotten what it’s like to kick around the house and be lazy…
It’s boring.
Staring at the walls, talking to my dog, and waiting for someone to post on either the website or the forum…. man, I need a life!
I’ve been laying low on purpose though. My prior employer has made some rather unfortunate business decisions (read: the stupid asses fucked up big time) leading to the layoff of 350 people at the Spokane office. The largest manpower part of their business is supplying technical support for other companies. Their largest customer, Microsoft, has decided to move it’s support out of the US and over to India because it’s cheaper (and won’t it be great calling for technical support and getting someone who doesn’t speak english?). Of course, Spokane has been slowly losing all it’s technical related jobs, leaving my current employer about the only one left in the area that’s still around (and we’re doing just fine).
But with 350 people looking for work, and about half of them knowing me personally…. my IM and email have been getting hit rather hard with requests for help with getting them a job with my company.
Not to come off as cold or anything… but I’m not even at work… I’m at home, laid up from back surgery. I can’t help at the moment. Please… stop.
*sigh*
In other news… Trev of Eddie Canuck fame got his new speedo plate that I designed printed and installed…. it looks sweet!!!
What the HECK are you doing getting back surgery!!! You are supposed to be having fun in the sun in the Barbados or something you silly man 🙂
Was running past some old links… and figured I would see how your site was doing as it always has things to make me chuckle.
Hope you are doing well Tone!

Hey Tone!
So here I am sitting in my office in Eugene speaking with an Australian about urinal cakes and what comes to mind? Your urinal cake picture series! But alas I cannot find it. Probably stuck in some archive somewhere.
Anyway, hope your back is doing much better – Ya gotta get ready for the next Bring out your Dead!!! Sure do miss those – – – well let’s just say great company!! How’s your sister by the way 😉
2Yes your previous employer is laying off 350 people but 2 of us survived the pink slips. Mark Claussen and I are the only 2 to survive the closure. We will be working in the product services building (sales)as the last 2 IT&S personel originally with support services. Boy I must say our new employer (Level3) who bought us has good taste if I don’t say so myself!!!
Hope your feeling better now,
