Well, the Relay for Life’s “Mr. Relay” contest on Saturday was…. um… fun? (yeah… fun!)

Things didn’t go exactly like it was supposed to (the contest started 45 minutes late… at 12:45 am) and there was some confusion by the people doing it (it was the first time this event was held), but it was still a good time.

I managed to make it to the final 3 and I was the top money raiser (thank to the Pacing Angles for their generous donation!!). Here are a couple of images that should horrify:

I was able to raise over $500 with my abject humiliation, so life is good. There are mpg’s available, and I may post one or two of them if anyone cares to see them.

On Sunday, I ended up in the emergency room. I’ve been attempting to install central air in my house for a while now, and in my zeal to get the damn duct work built and installed, I cut the top of my hand pretty badly (about 2″ across). It didn’t bleed much, but I could totally see the tendons moving at the bottom of the wound when I wiggled my fingers. I ended up with a few stitches and some tape to hold it shut… should make for a dandy scar.

I did get the air conditioning all hooked up, but there’s a problem and things aren’t flowing quite like they should. I’ll be going over it again tonight (and every damn night…. for the rest of my life) until it’s fixed.
