It’s Monday, so pass the damn cheese…. please!

Well it’s Monday and the server has been up for a record breaking 4 days! Massive kudos to go Jester (hey… that’s my web page you bastard!) and his wacked mad skillz with linux!

We went out to Joe’s Place on Saturday night. Joe’s Place is an exclusive lounge… invitation only type palce. We were invited and had a blast! I guess it helps to know the right people. Of course, when we got home, I slipped on the ice in my driveway and landed face first on the pavement. My forehead is missing a chunk where my wrist watch made contact (the watch is toast too… gotta buy a new one).

Yesterday, I spent 6 hours working on a website for my neighbor: bonesbros.com. I’m gonna tear it all out and start over, because it looks like a monster pile of ass. Then again, I think everything I make looks that way… so perhaps I should get a second opinion (my neighbor likes it… maybe I should listen to him and let it go at that).

Back at the grindstone today: Calvin is out sick so I’m doing double duty… all of his tasks with the servers as well as mine. Busy day! In between all the work things I do to get paid, I’m still tweaking on the server (with the help of Jester), trying to get it finished. You still can’t pop the mail off, but it looks like the spam blocking software is coming along nicely. Hopefully this will help keep the users inboxes a lot cleaner. It won’t, however, lower the insane amount of mail that hits my server in a day.

I wonder if I can sue the spammers for lost bandwidth?

In local news: Spokane, WA was voted the Cheesiest City in the Nation!! We eat more cheese, per capita, than any other city in the US. And were not talking by a little. The average Spokanite consumes around 10.4 pounds (4.72 kg) of cheese in a year. The national average is 7 pounds (3.18 kg) of cheese per year. Last year alone, the city of Spokane consumed an estimated 2,080,000 pounds (943,472.13 kg) of cheese.

That’s 1,040 tons. Of cheese.

I wonder how many tons of laxatives we consume (to remove all that cheese).
