I haven’t written much for a bit. Life has been nuts.

They’re doing layoffs at work and people are being walked out of the building on a daily basis. I’ve been working from home because of my back, but I’m in the office today and have a private meeting at 2:00 with my manager. Wish me luck!

Unfortunately, if I’m on the list, I’m screwed. Currently, I’m unemployable with my medical problems, and from the rumor mill, the severance package won’t float me for more than a couple weeks.

And speaking of medical problems: it also appears that I’m probably screwed in that aspect. My doctor dropped the hint that my back may be beyond surgery. Don’t know what I’m supposed to do if that’s the case.

*sigh*

Perhaps I’ll have something more positive to post tomorrow.
