Here ye, hear ye!

I have been notified that I need to make a retraction from yesterdays post:

I stated that I spent $10,700 on my wife. Let it be known that we collectively spent thus said funds.

Happy honey? 🙂

As for my astoundingly stupid actions yesterday which led to the destruction of the comment portion of this blog… all is well in the land of wwbd now. The author of the MT-Blacklist plugin that I use to keep those damn spammers at bay was unsure of the direction I should go in to correct my problems (but rightly chastised me for running such an old and beta version of hte software). I removed it and installed the current release of his plugin and all is right in the world. Seriously… Jay Allen is a savior to the MT using community! You should go to his website and make a donation… do it now!!

Other things: um… there aren’t really any other things.

So, I leave you with the link of the “whenever the hell I feel like posting a link”: Scary Squirrel World (because we all know that those little tree rats are demonic!)

Damn spammers!!

This blog got a serious drive by spamming from some moron last night, leaving 210 different comments that linked to the same lame ass website.

Fortunately, I run a utility, mt-blacklist, which makes it easy to clean this crap off. Unfortunately… I selected too many comments to remove at one time and the script timed out.

This means that for now, you can’t leave a comment on the blog until I figure out how the hell to fix it.

Sigh… if anyone out there knows anything about mt-blacklist, here’s the actual error message it gives me:

Can’t use string (“-1”) as a HASH ref while “strict refs” in use at /var/www/whitewomanblackdog.com/extlib/jayallen/Blacklist.pm line 196.

Of course, I’ve checked Jay Allen’s site but have found nothing to help at this time.

In other news: It’s day 4 of no morphine for moi. I feel like a big crap burrito, but it may be getting better.

Also, on Saturday, I spent $10,700 on my wife (because I love her!). She’s the proud new owner of a 2004 Suzuki Intruder 1400 (silver) with a ton of extra accessories.

Update – 4:41 pm
I found a page on Jay’s site where I could post my problem. While they’ll pry flame me for being such a moron, they’ll also pry tell me how to dig myself outa my own hole.

Film at 11!

Bad monkey… get offa my back!

Once again I’m getting off the meds.

They’ve slowly reduced the amount of morphine sulfate I’ve been taking over the past few weeks and now deem the dosage low enough that I can successfully get off of it.

It’s still not a lot of fun.

I didn’t sleep more than a few hours last night and none of it was consecutive (I kept waking up… tossing and turning). I finally went to the couch so that my wife would be able to sleep (I didn’t want to wake her up). Today, I’m beat and my guts are going absolutely wild (read: the toilet is my best friend).

It’s not nearly as bad as it was the last time I thought I could go clean… but then again, I was taking a lot more back then.

Other news: We’re going out today to see if we can’t find my wife a new motorcycle to replace the one we sold. She likes how the Suzuki Intruder 1400 fits, but wants something with retro style fenders and such (we like the cruiser look). Finding something with the correct styling that she fits on has proven to be a challenge. She’s only 5′ 3″ and the cruiser style bikes have fat tanks (making it hard for her feet to reach the ground).

We’re been to all the dealers in Spokane and are heading into Idaho to see what they have. Hopefully we find something today.

Satisfaction guaranteed!

I love having a website!

A while ago, I went off on a car dealer, Wendle Ford here in Spokane, who delivered less than promised (and actually caused damage to my car, then told me I was a “perfectionist” when I dared to complain). Today, I’m checking my logs, and find that a common search that people are entering into google and other engines is “wendle spokane”. When I google for that, I found that my site is ranked 3rd.

Do you think they’ve seen it? Would it make a difference if they have?

I’ve also been approaced in the real world when people recognize me over that rant. At a local gathering of geeks for a SMO-g, someone noticed my WWBD wallpaper and asked if I was bio. He said that he had seen what I had posted about my experience with Wendle and convinced his girlfriend to buy her new car at a different dealer because of it.

Now… if Wendle were to make good on things (ie. fix the items on my car that were broken and honor the warranty that they convinced me to buy), I would gladly actually recant thus said rant, but thats never gonna happen (they have my money, I can go to hell now).

If you want to see the various reasons Wendle Ford here in Spokane has pissed me off, just enter the word “wendle” in the search box on the left .

Other keywords used in the last 7 days (161 different searches this month so far):
porn (which accounts for 26.2% of all searches), amatures, elephant sex, butt hole, hairy cracks, flintstones, groove man, frog blast the vent core, honda shadow, and injaculate.

You’re all a bunch of sick bastards.

Happy belated 4th of July!

July 06, 2004 By: bio Category: General

I spent the 4th sitting on my couch, watching VH1.

We had planned to go out to a friends house in Idaho for a pig roast, horse riding, running quads through a mud pit, and fireworks… but I felt like hell (and can’t do any of those things anyway). I did convince my wife to take the kids and go without me. She wasn’t happy leaving me alone, but the kids had an absolute blast (they said it was “the best 4th of July ever!!!”).

I’m still working on getting clean. My morphine intake is lower and I believe I quit it completely on thursday. Hopefully the transition isn’t too rough (I’m still attempting to find some balance from the last time they cut the dosage).

If you doctor ever prescribes morphine sulfate (oxycontin) to you… use caution. Personally, I would only take it again if I was in incredible pain. In retrospect, I think I would have rather dealt with the pain… the withdrawals are nasty (and long lasting).

In other news… I got to do something today that I haven’t been allowed to do for nearly a year. I drove myself to work! The medication dosage is now so low that I’m no longer concidered “impared” by law. Life is good!!
