You may have noticed that access to the server has been kinda catch-as-catch-can today.
I’ve been trying to install the new router that Jester gave me, but there’s a problem: it won’t accept the current password for the DSL connection (because the current password contains extended characters that aren’t allowed on the version of the cbos running on the new router).
So… I’ve been calling my ISP and requesting a password change.
Oh.. they changed it…. but the change only effects my email and not the damn router.
So I keep calling them, they keep telling me it’s been changed, I make the change and reboot the old router (to test it), it doesn’t work, I set it back, then call them again.
Repeat until dead.
Hopefully they’ll figure out what they’re doing wrong prior to 6pm tonight (when they close), or I’ll have to wait till I have another sick day to work on it again (can’t test it from work, because if it doesn’t work, the router will be down till I get home).
meh.

I woke up this morning and it felt like I had a pile of cinder blocks stacked on my chest.
Stupid back spasms.
So… I’m at home today, waiting for my medication to kick in. It reminds me of a song by the Eels from the Electro-Shock Blues album.
“The medication’s wearing off
Gonna hurt not a little, a lot
Keep on tickin’ you’re not lickin’ me”
We’re still waiting for my appointment to get cortisone injected into my spinal column. My wife has gone a little militant over it, calling the doctor’s office every day and leaving a voicemail. It’s been over 3 weeks and we still don’t know when the appointment is.
bah
In other news, I’ve had to tell several of the people I host that I can’t do it any more. A lot of bandwidth was going through my router and I’m renegotiating my contract with the ISP. Hopefully the reduction in bandwidth will keep my costs the same.
That’s it for now. Time for more coffee and a morphine.

Actually… I love Movable Type, it’s just not doing what I want it to at the moment.
A few weeks back, I did a total upgrade to the server. Doing things like that have a tendancy of breaking other things. Thus, the great fun of tracking down problems and correcting them begins.
Unfortunately… the website gives me a problem I can’t seem to track down.
Normally, when someone posts a comment, I get an email (I don’t read my website every day… I know what it says already). When I get this email, I come back and post some sarcasticly wity replay (or attempt to). Since the upgrade, it no longer tells me… and I’ve not checked it for a bit (so I’m behind… my bad!).
I’ve spent the last hour or so trying to figure this one out. I’m sure it’s some stupid config file, but which one?
The flip side to this is, I host a few domains on this server (current number: 40) and several use Movable Type themselves.
I’m hoping to get it fixed before the bitch-fest begins!
Edit @ 10:34 AM
I found the problem and corrected it. Everyone who I host that uses MT should be good to go (if they have that option selected).

It’s monday again.
wheeee…
The upgrade that we ran on the server a few weeks ago seemed to have broken the “auto notify” function that let me know when someone posted a comment, so I’ve been trying to play catch-up on a few.
One of the comments said my website was “racial”.
I can only reply to that with a question: Have you actually read anything here, or did you look at the domain name and make a decision based on that?
If you read the website, you’d know that I’m extremely intollerent of racism in any context. I was an officer of the Student Awareness Leage durring my college years and find the idea of racism incredibly stupid. Why the hell would you treat someone differently because of race, religion, or creed?
I hate everyone equally.
Now I’m grumpy.

I’ve been watching my ranking on the web, and a curious thing has happened as of late: this site is gaining in popularity.
I can’t explain it, but as of this writing, when searching for wwbd on google, it comes in 2rd (way ahead of those stupid “what would budah do” sites). It’s also ranking well on netstat’s site (249th in the top 1000 … and it’s climbing).
What the hell?
I don’t have any porn, it’s not a game site, hell… there’s not really anything of real interest here other than the meandering thoughts that pour out of my head.
Weird.
And speaking of meandering thoughts… I saw my Doctor today to discuss what’s left of my back. We talked about pain: when it hurts, where it hurts, and how bad it hurts. Then he gave me a new prescription: morphine.
Bejesus!
But I can tell you this much… for the first time in a long time, I’m pretty much pain free… and my head is fairly clear (which is a very refreshing change of pace).
But enough of the serious stuffs… you’re just here because you did a search for bestiality porn on yahoo. There’ll be none of that here, because this site is protected by Security Guard Todd:

I will crush you!
This weekends plans:
Sleep till noon
Take lots of Metamucil (to counteract the problems of taking morphine)
Drink lots of water (to counteract the problems of taking Metamucil)
Poop vigorously
Drink beer in copious amounts
Yeah, baby!
