They’ve been playing the shit out of it for the last few days and now my interest is once again peaked. I installed it last night, and after dealing with a few video issues (the game is buggy as hell, even after all the patches), I was in business.

For those unfamiliar with the game, you play a God to a small island village. You can expand your influance by getting more people to believe in you. You also get a “creature” who, depending on how you train it, can help generate belief by being kind and granting the villagers wishes, or by inciting fear and terror in the villagers (and angry God is a God you better pray to!).

Of course, if you just surfed in from a search engine, I’m sure you were looking for “woman and dog” or “black stud on white girl” (like 78% of all my search engine driven traffic). Yeah, I know where you’ve been, and I know what you were looking for when you got here (tracking IP addresses and history can be entertaining).

But for those precious few of you who weren’t looking for pics of a no-lube butt-fuck with a hot curling iron, I welcome you!

I’ve wanted to revamp the site for a while. It had looked the same about 3 years now and I had grown tired of maintaining it (with over 800 files to look after… it’s become quite the monster). My decision last month was to mothball the whole place, leaving it intact but making no updates.

Then jc of PIAB fame asked me to install this nifty little utility, Movable Type, on the server for his website. I was instantly hooked. Easy to work with, searchable, and all the bells and whistles.

Love it!

I’ve been porting in some of the archive from the old site (just so this place isn’t completely bare bones) and will keep tweaking things (adding links, etc) over the next few days.

World peace is a good thing! Origionally posted on the web back in ’95, this was my attempt to get listed on the “Weirdest of the Web” site. It didn’t work (but a lot of people signed up for it).
